My brief related to the concept of safety at night and how I could help improve it.

For many students a night out can sometimes be unnerving, whether you suffer from anxiety attacks, get lost or just feel generally unsafe. It’s important that in this day and age along with the evolution of better technology that there must be a way to feel safe and secure at vulnerable times. By creating an app that allows the user to alert their friends of their location grants the user control of both their safety and peace of mind, providing a default quick message service in emergencies as well as an S.O.S alert. The map feature shows the user where they are and also where friends are. Users can also buy a linked alert keyring which is a portable alarm that sends S.O.S alerts to friends. Once the user links their keyring to the app, they are free to use the portable alert keyring. By pressing the logo, an alert will be sent, sending the user’s name, location and time to their contacts, allowing them to be tracked for the users safety.
