Invisibility – Unmasking Invisible Disabilities & Abilities

With one in five people in the UK having a disability, 70% of adults with invisible disabilities suffer in silence with sensory difficulties due to stigma and a lack of support. Invisibility is an awareness campaign designed to bring sensory issues to the forefront of discussion around hidden disabilities.

Traditional diagnosis criteria typically over looks those from marginalised backgrounds, despite sensory problems affecting the personal, social, educational and professional lives of those who have less access to help. This ad and poster campaign aims to encourage self-advocacy but also empathy from others by highlighting common auditory and visual symptoms that people put up with. The unobtrusive badge set, available irrespective of diagnosis, allows people to discreetly communicate specific needs so they can live and work at their best with the right accommodations.
