Gender privilege is one of the most widely misunderstood problems in the modern age. It is likely that you will have a different perspective towards related issues based on your gender. Privilege is considered to be a key aspect of this perspective, either you understand it because you don’t have it, or you’re blissfully unaware of it because you do.
Gender has historically been something that socially separates and divides us, however; what if understanding gender privilege could unite us?
This project aims to encourage a higher sense of awareness of gender equality through the exploration of ‘privilege’; To encourage people to self-reflect around the topic of gender privileges and confidently discuss issues.
How might we explore design to make the invisibility of privilege detectable?
